This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the tempered glasses(1) to be used mainly for the Windows, furniture's and the like of buildings, railway vehicles and ships (excluding round Window tempered glasses for ships.) Note (1) The tempered glasses are those plate glasses which are so heat treated as to form intensive
compressive stress layers on glass surfaces, to increase breaking strength, and to crush into fine
pieces when damaged.
