- This standard stipulates the calculation of fuel consumption by the carbon balance method by measuring the emitted carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) under simulated urban and suburban working conditions. Test methods and calculation methods. This standard is applicable to vehicles of category M1 powered by ignition engines or compression ignition engines and whose maximum design speed is greater than or equal to 50km/h, and can also be used for vehicles of category MSubscript 2 and N1 category vehicles.
