This standard specifies limit gauges used for dimensional inspection(1) of screw threads of external threads of Classes 3A, 2A, and 1A and internal threads of Classes 3B, 2B, and 1B specified in KS B 0213(Limits of sizes and tolerance of unified coarse screw threads), (Hereinafter referred to as the screw thread limit gauges), as well as those gauges used for checking the above-mentioned limit gauges(hereinafter referred to as the checking gauges).
Note (1) Where inspection of threaded fasteners is required for the shapes of flank, crest, and root, circularity of pitch diameter, surface roughness, and other items, other measuring apparatuses and appliances shall be used.
