Scope: This Korean Industrial Standard specifies instantaneous water heaters (3) (hereafter referred to as 'water heaters'), which possess a burner using liquefied petroleum gas or city gas (1) (hereafter referred to as 'gas') as its fuel, and its indicated amount (2) of gas consumption is not more than 69.8kW : 251MJ/h (5kg/h for the liquefied petroleum gas and 60.000kcal/h for the city gas), mainly used for general domestic purpose. Notes (1) The liquefied petroleum gas referrs to the gas specified in KS M 2150, and the city gas referrs to the gas specified in KS M 8101. (2) The amount of gas consumption referrs to the amount consumed when the water heater is used in the condition of the most gas consumption, and it is indicated on the product. (3) The instantaneous heater referrs to the water heater which has a device able to open and close the gas passage relative to the water supply and hot water, and which is heated while water is passing through the heat exchanger. Remarks 1. The units and numerical values in { } of this standard are in accordance with traditional units, and are additionally written as references. 2. The indicated gas consumption of this standard is written 4 kinds of units and numerical values, but each kind is the same value substantially. 3. The pressure mentioned in this standard is gauge pressure except the pressure indicated as atmospheric pressure.
