Scope

Part 1 of JIS C 0367 specifies the design, construction, inspection, maintenance, and testing of effective lightning protection systems for information systems inside buildings or on rooftops. Vehicles, ships, aircraft, and offshore structures are outside the scope of this standard and are subject to the rules established by specialized organizations. The equipment that makes up the system itself is not covered by this standard. However, the content of this standard provides guidance for discussions between information system designers and LEMP protection system designers to achieve optimal protection effectiveness.
