Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for envelopes used for mailing purposes. It also defines then-styles and types of sealing. This standard does not apply to envelopes intended for wrapping of parcels or to envelopes intended for wrapping of special products, such as photographic films and envelopes for processed X-ray films.
