This Kenya Standard meets the general need of industrial hardness measurement of ferrous and non-ferrous metals by the Rockwell principle in the scales as shown in Table 1.
NOTE: Other scales, covering materials such as plastics are not included. Nor is this standard intended to meet the special requirements of the Rockwell Superficial Hardness Test.
