Scope

1.1 This standard specifies requirements and methods of tests for impregnating oils and compounds used for manufacture of PILC cables up to 33 kV. 1.2 The impregnants covered in this standard are of the following two types: a) draining type oils, and b) non-draining compounds. 1.3 This standard does not cover the requirements of oils used as coolants in hollow core cables.
