Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the methods for selection and preparation of samples and test pieces from wrought steel products for carrying out mechanical tests. 1.1.1 The product from which test pieces for mechanical tests are selected may be either one of the products presented for acceptance or a sample product depending upon the requirement of the order.
