This code of practice deals with the maintenance and supervision of uninhibited insulating oils, complying with the requirements of IS : 335-1983〓 at the time of delivery, in service in transformers, swit-chgears and similar electrical equipment, where oil sampling is permissible and where the normal operating conditions specified for the equipment arc observed.
Note—Recommendations for oil used in hermetically sealed and low oil volume equipment are excluded from this code because such equipment is not designed for the process of routine oil sampling.
