Scope

This standard relates to fixed polyester film dielectric and similar dielectric direct current capacitors, for rated voltages not exceeding 6300 V, and using electrodes of thin metal foils intended for use in electronic equipment. For capacitors with rated voltages exceeding 1000 V, additional tests and requirements may be specified in the detail specification.
