Scope

This standard ( Part 1 ) covers the method of determination of the state of in-situ stress underground through a drill hole using hydraulic fracturing technique. The test provides, in general, the magnitudes and direction of the maximum and minimum stresses in the plane perpendicular to the drill hole.
