This standard prescribes the methods of sampling for cotton yarn for determination of physical characteristics, namely, count, lea breaking load, twist, evenness ( uster percent ) and appearance grade. It speci-fies the number of tests that should be made for each characteristic. It also lays down the criteria for ascertaining the conformity of the yarn to the specified requirements of the characteristics.
