Scope

1.1 This standard relates to rectangular copper wires coated with enamel and covered with glass fibre, lapped or braided, bonded with a suitable thermosetting varnish. The wires covered by this standard are suitable for temperature index 120, 130, 155 and 180. The type of enamel and varnish shall be based on the temperature index of the wire required by the purchasers.
