Scope

1.1 This standard covers the requirements of calibrated high tensile steel chain (round link) for use with machines and equipment in mining, such as: a) conveyors, flexible and rigid, of the chain type, chain belt con-veyors, gate end and stage loaders; b) coal ploughs and coal cutters; and c) bucket elevators. 1.2 Chains for lifting purposes in mines are not covered by this specifi-cation.
