1.1 This standard ( Part 12) prescribes a small rcale laboratory procedure for comparing the relative horizontal burning characteristics of sigid cellular thermal insulation material by exposing the specimen to a low energy source of heat.
1.1.1 It has no relevance to the environmental conditions under which rigid cellular thermal insulation materials may be used either singly or in conjunction with other materials.
