Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes methods of polariscopic examination of glassware for determining the relative annealing strain in them. 1.1.1 Two methods are prescribed. Method A is based on comparison with standard strain discs using a polariscope and Method B on measurement of strain using a polarimeter.
