Scope

1.1 This standard specifies requirements for microwave diathermy equipment of therapeutic purposes used in medical practice (hereinafter referred to as equipment) operating at a frequency range of more than 300 MHz but not exceeding 30 GHz. 1.2 This standard does not apply to the equip-ment specified for hyperthermia.
