Scope

This standard prescribes a method, known as the guarded hot box method, for the measurement of the thermal conductance and thermal transmittance of panels ( see 0.3 ). Note — In applying this method, the general principles outlined here shall be followed. However, the details of the apparatus may be varied in order to suit the convenience of the individual operator.
