Specifies conical tapers, rates of taper and taper angles for engineering purposes. It also specifies the values of setting angles and heights for the taper angles with a sine bar of length 100 mm. It applies only to plain conical surfaces and excludes prismatic pieces, taper threads, bevel gears, etc.
