Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the method of measuring colour in liquid chemical products in Hazen units (platinum-cobalt scale). 1.1.1 The method is applicable to liquids in which colour producing bodies present have light absorption characteristics nearly identical with those of platinum-cobalt colour standards. Such colour characteristics are generally describ-able as 'brownish yellow'.
