This International Standard specifies a method for determining creep in compression, which is the deformation of a refractory material or product subjected to a constant load under isother-mal conditions.
The test rig used in this method of test is the same as that used for the determination of refractoriness-under-load (see ISO 1893).
NOTE — The apparatus described is generally suitable for determi-nation of creep in compression up to 1 600 °C.
