1.1 This standard lays down the procedure to be followed in collecting and preparing samples from a lot in order to determine ore sizes, moisture content and the chemical composition of the quartzite in the lot. It details the procedures for sampling of the ores from stock piles, loaded rail wagons, conveyors and ship's holds.
1.1.1 This standard also includes a method for reporting the quality of the bulk of the quartzite sampled.
