Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements and methods of sampling and test for polyethylene plastic materials for the manufacture of plastic items used in contact with foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and drinking water. 1.2 This standard does not purport to establish this suitability of the packaging media with particular foodstuff, pharmaceutical or drinking water, from other than toxicological considerations.
