Scope

This standard (Part 1) lays down methods for the quantitative and qualitative estimation of the follow ing in treated timber and in treating solutions: a) Copper, arsenic and chromium in timber treated with copper-chrome-arsenic or copper-chrome preservatives; b) Chromium and zinc in timber treated with chromated zinc chloride; c) Boron; and d) Creosote and fuel oil in timbers treated with creosote-fuel-oil mixtures.
