Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods of sampling and test for glass tubes used in the manufacture of general purpose, reference and all other types of liquid-in-glass thermometers suitable for use within a range of -200° to +500°C. 1.1.1 This standard does not deal with glass tubes used in the manufacture of medical and enclosed-scale thermometers.
