This standard ( Part 1 ) specifies require-ments for the safety of cardiac defibrillators and cardiac defibrillator monitors, referred to as equipment in this standard, incorporating a capacitive energy storage device.
1.2 This standard does not apply to cardiac monitor which is not a part of use defibrillator monitor.
1.3 In the combined equipment in which the ECG monitoring signal cannot be derived via the defibrillator electrodes, this standard applies to defibrillator part only.
