Scope

This standard provides guidance for the management of technical status within an organization, applicable to all stages of supporting a product from conception to disposal. This standard first stipulates the responsibilities and authorities for implementing technical status management, and secondly describes the process of technical status management, including technical status management planning, technical status identification, change control, technical status recording and technical status review. This standard is a guidance document and is not intended to be used for certification purposes.
