1.1 The purpose of this Standard is to establish the requirements that must be met and the tests that must be submitted to float-actuated valves with nominal sizes of 12 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 50 mm and 75 mm and which are intended for use with water at a temperature not exceeding 38°C. 1.2 This Standard applies to float-actuated valves used in water storage tanks for industrial and domestic use. Float-actuated valves used in toilets are excluded. 1.3 This Standard does not cover the floats that operate the valves.
