1.1 The purpose of this Standard is to define the symbols that appear on the indicator plates or control buttons of machine tools, in order to give the operator all the useful instructions for using the machine. 1.2 All symbols specified in this Standard do not necessarily have to appear on the machines. Only those strictly necessary for the use of each of the machines should be used.
