Scope

This standard is made by hot processing such as hot rolling and hot forging, and usually further processes such as forging, cutting, cold drawing, quenching/tempering, normalizing, carburizing and quenching, etc. Specifies structural steel materials (hereinafter referred to as steel materials) that are heat-treated and have guaranteed hardenability mainly for use in mechanical structures.
