This standard describes the procedure for determining the length changes of concrete specimens due to drying in air (drying shrinkage). It provides for tests on specimens made from concrete in which the nominal maximum size of aggregate does not exceed 25 mm and which has been prepared in the laboratory or sampled in the field.
Note: The method may be adapted, if desired, to study the length changes of specimens subjected to different environmental treatment, such as prolonged moist storage instead of air drying.
