Scope
This part of GB/T 13441 relates to human body whole-body vibration and shock exposure in buildings related to the comfort and annoyance of occupants. It specifies measurement and evaluation methods, including the determination of measurement direction and measurement location. The frequency weighting value W applicable to the frequency range of 1 Hz to 80 Hz is defined. In this frequency range, the posture of the occupants in the building does not need to be clear. Note 1: If the posture of the occupants is known, the frequency weighting value w given in GB/T 13441.1 can be applied. Although it is often effective to conduct experimental studies on a building, the concepts contained in this section should be applied equivalently to that building during the design phase of the building or where access to an existing building is not possible. In these cases, some method must be used to predict the vibration response of the building. This section does not provide guidance on possible structural damage to buildings. For relevant content, see GB/T 14124. In addition, this section does not apply to the evaluation of effects on human health and safety. This section also does not specify allowable vibration values. NOTE 2 Until more information relevant to this section is gathered, no guidance can be given on permissible vibration values. The mathematical definition of the frequency weighting value W is given in Appendix A, and guidelines for collecting vibration data from buildings regarding complaints are given in Appendix B.
