This standard specifies the maintenance process specified in JIS X 0160 in more detail. This standard also defines various types of maintenance. This International Standard provides instructions for planning, executing and controlling, reviewing and evaluating, and closing maintenance processes. The scope of application also includes maintenance of multiple software products that use the same maintenance resources. "Maintenance" in this standard means software maintenance unless otherwise specified.
