- 1.1 In the case that other acceptance inspection procedures are not agreed with the fastener supplier at the time of ordering, the buyer of fasteners must follow the acceptance procedures specified in this standard to determine the acceptance or rejection of a batch of fasteners. Additional technical requirements for acceptance are given in specific product standards (e.g. effective torque type nuts). The same procedure also applies in the case of disputes over the technical conditions of acceptance. 1.2 This standard applies to bolts, screws, studs, nuts, pins, washers, blind rivets, and other related fasteners. However, it is not suitable for fasteners used in high-speed mechanical assembly, special-purpose use or special engineering supervision, requiring higher processing process control procedures and batch tracking (see ISO Introduction Note). Acceptance inspection procedures for these products shall be agreed upon between the supplier and the purchaser prior to confirmation of the order. 1.3 This standard applies only to finished fasteners; it does not apply to any local process control or inspection during the production process. 1.4 In the manufacturing process of fasteners, the processing of supporting accessories, process cooperation and parts installed separately during use (such as washers, nuts, coatings, heat treatment and blanks) can be subcontracted by the supplier of fasteners to other suppliers. square. However, the final supplier of the finished product is solely responsible for the quality of the fasteners. The technical requirements of this standard are only applicable to the fasteners at the time of delivery, not to the inspection of the processed and treated (such as coating) of the received fasteners. 1.5 Appendix B (reminder appendix) is the guidance and interpretation of ISO/TC 2 technical committee, the principles of which are based on this standard.
