Scope
This standard specifies methods for measuring the acidity of gases generated during combustion of electrical or fiber optic cable components. Notes: 1. Standards that cite this standard must specify which components of the cable are to be tested and what procedure to use for testing. 2. “Electrical cable” means a power cable or a communication cable. 3.Remarks The corresponding international standards of this standard are shown below. The symbols representing the degree of correspondence are IDT (matched), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) based on ISO/IEC Guide 21.
