Scope

These requirements cover portable electric household slillets and other frying-type appliances for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. Frying-type appliances in this standard include frying pans, saucepans, griddles, corn poppers, deep fat fryers, fondues, tempuras, woks, waffle or sandwich makers, and other similar appliances which may or may not be thermostatically controlled.
