Scope
The free acceleration method exhaust smoke measurement equipment for compression ignition engines is divided into opaque smoke method emission testing equipment and filter paper smoke method emission testing equipment. This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for the specifications, functions and performance of the opacimeter, the main equipment for vehicle opacity emission measurement for compression ignition engines; and the basic requirements for computer control software functions. For the technical requirements and test methods for the specifications, functions and performance of filter paper smoke meters, see HJ/T 4 Technical Conditions for Filter Paper Smoke Meters for Diesel Vehicles. This standard specifies the project requirements and test methods for daily equipment inspection of testing stations, on-site installation equipment inspection of testing stations, and type approval equipment inspection.
