Scope: This standard specifies the method of digesting latex, raw rubber, rubber mix and vulcanized rubber with nitric acid or a mixed acid of nitric acid and sulfuric acid. This standard applies to the digestion and dissolution of rubber and rubber products. Due to the low temperature in this standard operation, the volatilization loss of some potential volatile elements or combinations of volatile elements (such as As, Sb, Bi and Zn+Cl, Cu+Cl and Pb+Cl) can be reduced.
