- This standard specifies the definition, classification, quality factors and grades, grade indicators, inspection methods and labeling requirements of cultured pearls. This standard applies to activities such as production, trade, and quality evaluation of cultured pearls, but not to the grading of cultured pearls that have been irradiated or dyed. The grading of natural pearls can also be implemented by reference.
