Scope

This standard specifies the definition, symbols and abbreviations, materials, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, Transportation, storage. This standard is applicable to buildings together with GB/T l8742.1 "Polypropylene Piping System for Cold and Hot Water - Part 1: General Rules" and GB/T l8742.2 "Polypropylene Piping System for Cold and Hot Water Part 2: Pipes" Pipe fittings used in cold and hot water piping systems in buildings, including industrial and civil hot and cold water, drinking water and heating systems. This standard does not apply to fittings used in fire extinguishing systems and systems that do not use water as a medium.
