Scope
This standard applies to electromagnetic field (EMF) transmitting equipment used with the radiating part of the device that is very close to the human head and against the human ear, including mobile phones, wireless phones, etc. Frequency range is 300 MHz to 3 GHz. The purpose of this standard is to clearly define the measurement methods to demonstrate that the device complies with its specific absorption rate (SAR) limits.
