- This standard applies to carbon steel and alloy (except stainless steel) seamless and welded steel pipes (hereinafter referred to as steel pipes) for transporting and distributing flammable and non-flammable fluids (including water) in the oil and gas industry. The technical provisions, basic quality and testing requirements of this standard are Level A. This standard covers threaded and extra-strength threaded pipelines: ordinary pipes, ordinary quality ordinary pipes, special ordinary pipes, extra-strength plain pipes.
