Scope

This standard applies to the general principles for preparing performance test plans for packaged goods whether transported by land, rail, sea, air, inland waterway or any combination of these transportation modes. Part 1 of this pilot plan states the general principles necessary for developing a pilot plan. When packaged goods are subjected to the packaging performance test program, factors in evaluating the acceptance criteria for these packages should be taken into consideration
