- This standard specifies the use of gas chromatography to determine the VOC (mass) content in the tank of low-content volatile organic compound (VOC) latex paint under standard conditions (101.325 kPa) (i.e., the content of organic compounds with a maximum boiling point of 250°C). This standard is applicable to samples with VOC content between 0.01% and 0.1%. Its purpose is to confirm that latex paint meets the low VOC content, rather than routine quality control.
