DIN 58940-81:2002 Medical microbiology - Susceptibility testing of microbial pathogens to antimicrobial agents - Part 81: Microdilution; Special requirements for testing of non-fastidious bacteria
Together with DIN 58940-8, the document specifies the in vitro testing of the susceptibility of non-fastidious bacteria to antibiotics by broth dilution. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of non-fastidious bacteria is determined by microdilution; the aim is to obtain reproducible interlaboratory and comparable intralaboratory results. This reference method may also be used as a routine method.#,,#
