This International Standard defines reference models for batch control used in the process industry and terminology to help explain the relationships between these models and terms. This standard does not apply to all batch control applications. A number of diagrams are used within this standard. Annex A describes each of these schemes. Annex B provides references. The symbols representing the degree of correspondence are IDT (matched), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) based on ISO/IEC Guide 21.
