- This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of non-metallic material drop weight impact testing machines. This standard applies to drop-weight impact testing machines (hereinafter referred to as testing machines) used for free-fall impact testing of plastics and their products. Drop weight impact testing machines for other non-metallic materials outside the scope of this standard can also be used with reference.
