- Scope
- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of paper pattern formers (hereinafter referred to as "formers") used in laboratories. This standard is applicable to formers made from paper samples of most pulp types; it is not applicable to formers made from certain longer fiber pulps, such as uncut cotton pulp, flax pulp or similar raw material paper samples.
