This standard specifies the method for measuring particle size distribution by sieving iron ore and reduced iron (reduced iron does not include priquettes) using a sieve with an opening of 38 μm or more. The particle size distribution is expressed in terms of mass and mass fraction (%) under or above the selected sieve. This standard also applies to the standards for particle size measurement specified in the individual test standards for iron ore and reduced iron (hereinafter referred to as iron ores).
